This photo was taken 7 years ago. I was at Stanford Medical Center getting bi-weekly lidocaine infusions.

The infusions helped reduce pain – but my body began slowly rejecting it. My last injection ended with me being super loopy and slurring my words.

It was a horrible time of life – pre-diagnosis, bed-ridden & using a wheel chair. So frustrating to see doctor after doctor, none of whom had any idea what to do with me.

I finally saw a doctor who specializes in tick-born diseases (LLMD) and afternoon 8 years, I was diagnosed with Lyme, Babesia, & Bartonella.

Since then other diagnosis’ have been added – ehrlichiosis, lead and mild toxicity, multiple viruses, POTS, MCAS, & CIRS.

It’s been a difficult 14 years. Even now, knowing what is making me sick, treatment options are difficult and costly (the ones that help the most are not covered by insurance).

Yesterday I over did myself – so this morning I have bad back, neck & head pain, nausea, weakness, & shortness of breath. It can be discourage my heart.

But this photo is a reminder of how far I’ve come and that no matter what:

God is still God.

God is still good.

I give him the glory.
